Angry man suffers injury setback
Darren Maddy has suffered a setback on his return to the team following a knee injury last year that saw him miss most of the season. He suffered a facial injury in a nets session during the Warwickshire pre-season trip to South Africa. He will now require an operation. Its not known when he will be able to return to the team. Get well soon Darren!

Rikki Clarke injured
Rikki Clarke has injured his hand. He could be out for 6 weeks which is a blow for the club and for Rikki who faced down the boo boys earlier in the season to fight back and show some form. Lets wish Rikki a speedy recovery.

Maddy could be out for the rest of the season
Darren Maddy has suffered a knee injury during training this morning. If the injury is, as suspected, cruciate ligament damage then that could be his season over. Richard Johnson will take his place in the squad for Sunday's game.
Andy Miller has also suffered an injury and will be out for weeks. Its a bit tough for the team at the moment! Though on a more positive note Ian Bell has been picked in the squad for the ODIs against the West Indies which follows the tests.

Patel to miss opening game(s)
NZ bowler Jeetan Patel will miss the opening game (against Somerset on the 15th) because of visa issues. Ant Botha might be able to make the squad now after treatment on his elbow. Otherwise the club may have to dig deep into it's limitless spin bowling resources.
Captain Ian Westwood might be fit for May. Hooray!

Bears falling apart already
The new season is closing in fast but the team appear to be falling apart just as quickly. Ian Westwood will be out for 6 weeks with an injured wrist and thus will miss the first few weeks of his first season as captain. Tony Frost is out with a hamstring injury and may miss the first games of the season.
NZ spin bowler Jeetan Patel could be our OS player however.
