Over the years, there have been many articles written about Andrew Flintoff and what the future may hold for him. Whether he is returning from an injury lay-off, rebuilding his reputation after a certain pedalo incident or simply looking to return to his best form, there is always something to talk about with Freddie.
The present day is no different either. Having retired from test matches last year and undergoing yet another operation, people are discussing what the next few years might have in store the ever popular all-rounder.
There have even been murmurings of a return to test matches in time for this year's Ashes Tour. Something the player himself has ruled out.
He admits the lure of test cricket is always going to be tempting and that "any player" who has retired will be able to vouch for that. However, he remains committed to his decision and says that his focus now is to get "back on a cricket field for Lancashire and in the one-day format and the Twenty20 format for England".
Shortly after retiring from the longest form of the game, Flintoff said that he wanted to become the best ODI player in the world and this seems to still be one of his biggest priorities. He wants to show everyone that at 32, and after a string of injuries, he can be the best around.
As for another long-term aim, Flintoff is eyeing the 2011 World Cup as a time that he would like to be performing to the peak of his ability. Initially, he wants to force his way back into the England side before helping them progress as far as possible in next year's World Cup.
There is, of course, nothing England fans or selectors would like more than to see Freddie fit and playing well. He brings a great deal of balance to the ODI side and is probably the best bowler in the country when it comes to this format. Especially when bowling at the death.
If he is fit for the World Cup, he will no doubt influence England's standing in the online betting for the tournament.
Flintoff went on to say that he is "personally ambitious" about what he can achieve before his career comes to an end. We all just have to hope that he isn't being too ambitious with the targets he is setting himself.
Every single cricket fan in England looks forward to seeing Freddie back though because hopefully England's talisman isn't finished on the international stage quite yet.
Meanwhile, England are about to embark on a tour of Bangladesh and the cricket betting markets make them strong favourites to take the test series.
